This November, come and discover MadRural in San Martín de Valdeiglesias!

On November 22, 23 and 24, you have a date with MadRural experiences in the town of San Martín de Valdeiglesias, one of the villages in the Sierra Oeste of Madrid. In its bullring, there will be activities, workshops, tastings and samplings of the finest local products from the area, and visitors will be able to immerse themselves in all the experiences offered throughout “The Madrid you least expect”.

MadRural, a destination with four rural territories in the Community of Madrid

The weekend begins this Friday, November 22, with a day dedicated to professionals, the press and tourism agents specialised in a meeting that will address various topics of interest in a unique venue in the town: the Castle of La Coracera.

Afterwards, on Saturday 23, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and on Sunday 24, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., the Bullring of San Martín de Valdeiglesias,

will open its doors to the general public, inviting visitors to discover first-hand all the experiential proposals that MadRural offers across its four territories: the Sierra Oeste of Madrid, the Sierra de Guadarrama, Las Vegas & Alcarria Madrileña and the Sierra Norte of Madrid.

There will be experiences for all kinds of visitors, with proposals focused on nature, culture, heritage, gastronomy, war tourism, sports and more. In addition, the event will feature local producers, helping to showcase the different gastronomic and experiential proposals that shape the flavours of MadRural and of the Sierra Oeste of Madrid as the host territory.

With activities for the whole family, workshops for children and tastings of some of the destination’s finest products, this event aims to present the very best of MadRural — in other words, the very best of “The Madrid you least expect.”

12:00 Official opening ceremony

13:00 Interactive talk “From the Mountains to the Universe” by El Nocturnario (Sierra de Guadarrama)

13:00 Indoor bullfighting demonstration by the Navas del Rey Bullfighting School

13:30 Vermouth workshop and tasting by Bodega Siguín (Pelayos de la Presa)

16:00 Workshop: “Tracks and Footprints” (Sierra de Guadarrama Booking Centre)

17:00 Melt & Pour cosmetics workshop: Ana de Castilla (Aldea del Fresno)

18:00 Storytelling session “Carlota and the Butterflies”, by Gema Sánchez (Villamantilla)

21:00 Closing

Other activities and collaborators throughout the day: grilled local products (Restaurante Los Picazos), archery (Yucalcari Adventure Tourism), and escape room by Camping La Ardilla Roja and Camping El Monasterio.
